Das Zitat ist zwar schon ein paar Tage alt, doch wenn Larry Page sich Gedanken über Twitter macht, kann das durchaus erhellend sein. Und dieser Gedanke ist es wirklich. Nicht nur für die Google-Mannschaft, sondern für jeden, der sich für aktuelle Trends in Sachen "Suchmaschinen" interessiert. Alsdann hier ist das Zitat (via Techcrunch):

"I have always thought we needed to index the web every second to allow real time search. At first, my team laughed and did not believe me. With Twitter, now they know they have to do it. Not everybody needs sub-second indexing but people are getting pretty excited about realtime."

Nicht nur Semantik (WolframAlpha, anyone?), sondern auch "Echtzeit" steht also ganz oben auf der Google-Agenda.
